white soul man meets master of catchy choruses

Check out this article from the LA Times. I have Hall & Oates on my iPod, do you?

One could argue their success would not have been as widespread if Oates had never sported his famed 'stache.

I have lots of Hall & Oates on my iPod, and I attribute their success to Hall's great blue-eyed soul voice.

How does one stumble upon this article? Do you have a Google Alert set for "Hall & Oates"?

Dear Bob,
That is a great question and should be answered by Desiree. She linked me to the Tribune's online 'reprint' of its partner paper, the LA Times. She's a big H&O fan. She also contends that Cupcake Gal and I should couple costume as Hall & Oates for Halloween some year. I'm into the idea, but maybe that's b/c I'd get to be Hall. She'd be Oates.

Dear Bobbo,
I read the Chicago Tribune everyday and when I saw this article reprinted in an issue this week, I immediately thought of J-Lo and Cupcake Gal and our buddy BP, all of whom are connected to H&O in some way (like or dislike).

My favorite H&O songs are "Rich Girl" and "She's Gone." What's yours?
